Urgent – Act now!

Please refer to my last post Environment Bill needs amending and consider e-mailing your MP in advance of Wednesdays second reading of the Environment Bill along the following lines:

” I am greatly concerned about the growing tide of litter on our streets and highways.

On Wednesday the second reading of the Environment Bill takes place.

This post from Clean Highways claims that the Office of Environmental Protection will not be able to investigate breaches by local authorities and Highways England of their statutory duty to keep their highways clear of litter.

Can you raise the matter in the debate and/or do whatever you can to get the bill amended.
