Help to make a difference by taking photos of the litter on our motorways !!
Why
I need your help in drawing the attention of roads minister, Robert Goodwill MP, and Commons Select Transport Committee Chair Louise, Ellman MP, to the deplorably littered state of our motorways and other strategic roads.
When
Now – March – is the time to act before the spring vegetation obscures much of it.
How
Please keep your camera / phone camera handy when you next take a trip.
One of the best places is when queuing at the bottom of a slip road waiting to go onto the roundabout.
Alternatively, look for places where you can park legally and take pictures from a vantage point such a bridge over a motorway.
On other roads stop in a layby.
Do not be afraid of looking like a complete idiot.
Health and Safety
If you are the driver only take photos when you are stationary with your hand brake on.
Do not walk onto the verges.
Only take photos from the hard shoulder if you have genuinely broken down
Do not walk onto the verges.
What to do next
Please e-mail the photos to me using the form below.
I will publish them as and when they come in and present them to Mr Goodwill and Mrs Ellman at the end of the month.
DO NOT DELAY
Please spread the word
