Subject: Re: Litter
Dear Mr Hewett,
I am glad that your consortium now appears to be taking the matter seriously.
However, I have now issued Notice to the Secretary of State so I can no longer liaise with you regarding the matter at present. Once the Notice has been dealt with satisfactorily by the Secretary of State I would be happy to meet you. You are welcome to follow the progress of the specific Notice I have issued by referring to the case study on Clean Highways website at: https://www.cleanhighways.co.uk/category/m25/.
That said, I would like to request litter cleaning statistics for the M25 between junction 12 (M3) and junction 10 (A3) for the last six months. I am entitled to request this, as per the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. Note that although the your consortium is not a public body you are still obliged to provide this. I will be requesting the statistics on a regular basis in order to monitor the situation. If you have any queries relating to this legislation you may wish to view the information contained within this website: https://www.cleanhighways.co.uk/2010/10/07/contractors-are-subject-to-the-environmental-information-regulations-2004/.
Thank you in advance.
Yours faithfully,
Mr James V Miller.
