The first set of photographs were taken on 23rd April at an access spur road just to the west of the Swakeleys roundabout. This section of the A40 is a TfL maintained road but where cleansing is the responsibility of the local London Borough – in this case is LB Hillingdon.
After writing to LBH they attended the area on 27th and 29th April. However by 30th (see second set of photographs) the land had not been fully cleansed. No further action had been taken by 4th May.

E-mail to LB Hillingdon Chief Executive
Reply from LB Hillingdon – 29th April 2016 saying that the mattress had been removed on 27th April and littering picking undertaken on 29th.
However this was the condition of the land on 30th April
